RTL Simulation Command (Tools Menu)

You access this command by pointing to Run Simulation Tool and clicking RTL Simulation on the Tools menu.
Note: The RTL Simulation command is available only after you perform analysis and elaboration on a project and you specify an EDA simulation tool. If you use this command after the design source files change, the EDA simulation tool runs the simulation with the data from the last compilation.

Allows you to perform an EDA RTL simulation from within the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software without recompiling the design. The Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software launches the EDA simulation tool and processes all the required source files, including the Quartus® Prime Standard EditionIP file (.qip) and Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Simulation IP file (.sip) for an RTL simulation.
