-
Fitter preservation level—Allows you to choose the amount of
information you want the Fitter to preserve for a partition netlist and its placement
and routing.
-
Allow partition to be strictly preserved for safety—Specifies
if the partition implements functional safety logic that should be preserved at the
bit-level.
Note: The Fitter Preservation Level is an advanced setting. The default Fitter Preservation
Level for partitions with a
Post-Fit netlist type is the highest
level of preservation available for the target device family and provides the most
compilation time reduction.
- The Safe/Non-Safe partition feature is available only for Cyclone IV and Cyclone
V device families.
- Only partitions and I/O pins can be assigned to a Safety IP.
- When turned on, the partition is protected from recompilation, exported as part
of the Safety IP, and included into the Safety IP POF mask. Logic that is not
assigned to a partition is considered as part of the top partition and is treated
as non-safety logic.
- A partition assigned to Safety IP can only contain functional safety logic. If
the parent partition is assigned to Safety IP, then all child partitions should be
considered as part of the same Safety IP.
- A design can contain several Safety IP. All partitions containing logic that
implements a single Safety IP functionality should belong with the same top-level
parent partition.
